Since the Community Centre, or Village Hall, opened in September 1994, it has been a popular venue for South Normanton residents. Centrally located on Market Street and with ample parking facilities it is easily accessible from near or afar.

The Centre hosts various clubs and activities during the week and is available on Friday and Saturday nights for private functions.
Sunday night is especially popular with live entertainment from some of the best solo artists, duos and bands in the country, bingo, open the box and a tote draw.

A "local" atmosphere is preserved with free membership for South Normanton residents, although the charge of £1 per annum for non-residents is hardly a drawback for visitors.

The Centre has a bar area, a large function room/hall to accommodate the bigger events and a smaller function/meeting room which can be opened up to the main hall for even more space if required. Coupled with the spacious kitchen and catering facilities, the Centre is a popular choice for wedding receptions, discos, theme nights and presentation evenings.
