Library and Information Centre

The South Normanton library is bright and attractive with specific areas designed for children and teenagers.

If you are in a hurry, our ‘Quick Choice’ area allows you to dash in, look at the displays of new and popular materials and quickly check out and return books for yourself using our new self service machines. It’s fast and it’s easy!

There are eight public use computers with free access to online information, surfing the web, using email, creating and storing your own documents or developing presentations and publications.

You can also use the on-line catalogue or make free reservations for some CDs and DVDs and there’s a Health and Wellbeing Zone for advice and information with a PCT Health Trainer.

The library offers a huge range of information relating to all aspects of Derbyshire County Council, the  arts and entertainment, local studies, the Derbyshire Record Office, Trusted Traders and much, much more……..
