Info:
The water powered corn mill which is in working order, originated from the 13th Century, but was subsequently rebuilt. The present mill is predominantly 18th and 19th century and was built to provide flour for the hardwick estate.
The massive 17ft high water wheel, which is turned by water from the mill pond, powers the grinding and lifting work. The aroma of the freshly ground oat grain enable the visitor to conjure the scene of the miller at work many years ago.
