As a Strategic Youth Development Worker for SNAP Development Project, Mandy's aim is:

 

To specifically support and develop youth provision in South Normanton & Pinxton.

 

What does a Strategic Youth Development Worker do?

• meet groups that work with young people

• give groups the support they need so they are able to put their ideas into action, meet real needs and bring about change

• support groups to apply for funding

• support groups to develop working guidelines and policies

• create opportunities for groups to meet, talk and work together

• support groups to access training and skills development courses

• support groups to develop approaches that recognise young people's strengths

• introduce groups to other helpful agencies

• introduce groups to best practice initiatives
